Guests arrive to a free private off-street parking space with a ChargePoint Level 2 EV charger included, a rare thing in central Washington. GWU is a five minute walk, the Kennedy Center eight minutes, the Georgetown Waterfront twelve, and the Lincoln Memorial end of the National Mall under twenty minutes on foot.
Top rated dining, historic landmarks and the Potomac riverfront are all close by, which makes this an easy base for a family visiting the capital.
The First Floor
An open living room with a king size sleeper sofa and a Samsung 55 inch 4K Roku TV carrying over 100 DIRECTV Stream channels. A six seater dining table sits alongside a fully equipped KitchenAid kitchen with cookware, an espresso machine and infant and toddler flatware. There is a dedicated desk with a Brother printer, scanner and copier, and a half bath on this floor.
Traveling with little ones: a Pack-n-play, two high chairs and infant and toddler utensils are available on request.
The Second Floor
The main bedroom has a king bed, a private en suite bath with a walk in shower, and a Samsung 43 inch 4K Roku TV. The guest bedroom has two twin beds that convert to a king with a bed bridge kit, and its own full bath with a deep tub and shower. A full size Electrolux front loading washer and dryer is on this floor, with laundry supplies included.
The Patio and the Parking
A secluded, enclosed patio with Restoration Hardware seating for four, a Crate and Barrel concrete table, and a five burner gas grill with propane and utensils included.
The parking is the part guests tend to remember. The home comes with a free private off street space, twenty one feet by ten, with a ChargePoint Level 2 EV charger included at no extra cost. In central Washington that combination is close to unheard of.
Access and Amenities
Entry is by August smart lock, with a personalized code sent before arrival. Gigabit internet, up to 1 Gbps, with Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet. Roku smart TVs with over 100 DIRECTV Stream channels. A digital guidebook covers local dining, shopping and what is worth seeing.
The Neighborhood
Foggy Bottom is central and quiet at the same time. The home sits on a tucked-away residential street, and the area is patrolled by both the DC Metropolitan Police and GWU's own police department. George Washington University is two blocks away, about a five minute walk, and the State Department about the same. Foggy Bottom Metro, on the Blue, Orange and Silver lines, is six minutes on foot. The Kennedy Center is eight minutes, the Georgetown Waterfront twelve, and the Lincoln Memorial at the western end of the National Mall under twenty. The DC Circulator and several Metrobus routes stop nearby.

As a commercial airline pilot, I spent thousands of nights in every kind of accommodation. Those nights taught me that small details and thoughtful hospitality are what make a place in a far-off city feel like home. That experience keeps me in my guests' shoes: anticipating what you need before you arrive, caring for the details throughout your stay, and making the whole experience personal and memorable. Most of what guests thank me for afterwards is something they did not know to ask about. I treat it as part host, part concierge.
